At first you'll see stuff on the sides of the bowl and think, "Hey, that's not right!" But watch closely, and you'll see it's working. I just made twelve batches of cake for a wedding cake with it, two batches at a time, and never hand scraped the bowl once. Plus, there's no more unmixed flour/sugar/whatever in the bottom of the bowl!

Highly recommend this piece of equipment! A small makes-live-easier thing we all need. Did not think mixing could get any better after using my Kitchen Aid mixer for years until this. No more scraping the bowl or finding the small bit at the bottom unmixed. This blade takes care of all that. Do not hesitate for a moment, get it!

I have had my KitchenAid 5 quart stand mixer for over 20 years and have been very happy with it. But when I saw this Beater Blade in a kitchen supply store, I thought "Maybe the best could stand a little improvement!" and bought it.
It works great! Not only does it scrape the bowl wonderfully including the bottom but my batters whip up incredibly light. Since I have my own flock of chickens, I like to make old-fashioned pound cakes that require up to a dozen eggs. They taste great (I make them lemon flavored) but, unfortunately, my family is used to the store bought "junk" cakes that are not so heavy in texture. So they weren't as pleased as I was with the heavy pound cakes I was making. This Beater Blade solved the problem!
I made my last pound cake with it and it baked up so much lighter and fluffier that everyone loved it! So now I can continue to use up my excess eggs and make a cake that will get eaten right down to the last slice. This makes me very happy!
This is a worthwhile investment--get it!
