I bought this knife set over a year ago and it is wonderful. Easily the best quality knives I've ever owned. Every knife is just as sharp today as the day they were delivered. If you're looking for a good kitchen knife set without spending the big bucks on professional quality, this set can't be beat.

It really bugs me when I read so much hype about a set of knives that are supposed to be "as good as" another set. Of course, the other set was twice the price, but given that I have this set for just over a month, I'm not that big a cook, and they're already dull, should give you an idea that they're not nearly as good as even the cheapo set I have. This was money thrown in the trash, so I hope others realize that the answer is, either buy the best, or buy the cheapo set so you're not disappointed, like I am.

I purchased this set for my wife about 4 months ago. She has used them alot and has stated that she will never go back to "regular" knives again. She even takes the knives in a canvas case when she needs to do knife work outside the house. I took the advice of another reviewer and purchased this set with the Santoku knife and could not be happier. One word of advice for those who are not familiar with using knives this sharp--please purchase a video on how to use them properly or you will end up cutting yourself more than once.
